It's been a little quite over here- exams and hand ins have been keeping me very busy.

Any who! I wanted to let you guys know about a new project of mine, another blog!

Don't panic, (because I know you were, not!) I'll still be posting regularly here. 

The main thing is that the new blog is entirely focused on fashion, style and design. And Sewing. Of course.

Actual Crochet

About a year ago I finished a crochet project that was completely my own design. It was such fun to make and I was so pleased with the outcome, that I even gave it away to a dear uncle as a Christmas present.

(I never really give away things I have made! EVER! so this was big)

As you all know, I have been in a creative slump recently. I thought it would be a good idea to make another one of these little beauties (They hang on the wall) as I do enjoy making them, and hopefully in the process new ideas will arise. Sometimes, I just need to start on something in order to get all my creative goodness flowing, and then other ideas and inspiration will come more easily.

In the last couple of days it has truly felt like 

Spring!

Happy days here, for all. We took a trip one of our favorite beaches- Poura.

It has all the pretty shells and great views you could ever want.

Wardrobe Wednesday

Crazy stuff to be back in the Wardrobe Wednesday group, It really has been too long. 

This dress is a new favorite of mine, based on the fact that the print is just so darn cute.

I also love the neckline. 

It reminds me a little of the 40's,

feminine and pleated.

The one problem I have is the length- and the slightly uneven hem - but that's what you get when you purchase something from glassons. Yes. Total glassons hater here. And yet I am wearing one of their dresses. The even more annoying thing is that I can't fix the hem without making the dress shorter, and it's all ready at 'just-about-above-your-butcheeks' length.

Going slow

This is a favorite photo of mine, The end of the boat as it chugs bast down to Lyttelton. I remember taking it, standing out from the car, on this tiny, rough country road. Out and up in the hills, surrounded by nothing and yet everything at the same time.  

I have been trying to slow things down, take some time. It's not been working and I am more than frustrated. So I'm going to do the opposite. Speed things up a little.

If you really knew me

I have see this on some of my favorite blogs lately, So thought I might give it a go. I'm not really the type to follow a trend or copy others but I like finding out all those random little details about others- although I must admit it's awful boring when it's about yourself!

- I have lived in little old Christchurch my whole life. I know the roads like the back of my hand, all the cute little stores and the best second hand shops. I don't really feel like I want to live anywhere- I would love to travel and SEE other places, but I'll always know where home it.

-Sewing is more than my passion. It's my life. I'm currently studying fashion design and hope to make a career out of it. Fingers crossed eh?

- I taught myself to Sew, Crochet, Knit and Embroidery. The last three were from this great vintage book bought from a second hand store. I wish I could stick with the knitting but it's still not clicking! Crochet is so much easier.

-I have never have wanted to die my hair. Even when I was teased at primary, in a way it's made me a much stronger person.

 -I love Shortland St. I know. But it's so good!

-Instead of buying a car, which would have been super helpful and useful, and was what I needed, I bought a camera. And I have not regretted it since. I love to take pictures. Every Day.

-I am never wrong. EVER. Trust me, what I say is gold. I guess that's another way of saying I am supper stubborn. 

-Carnations are my favorite flowers. And flowers are my favorite present. Nothing makes me happier then fresh flowers.

- I wish I had more time to paint! My paints must be all dry and dusty from sitting the cupboards for so long! In fact, I would love to have more time to do a huge array of things, then again who doesn't?
